Sesame date fingers recipe from Tomoorcom

One of the easy and special date paste dessert that suet’s all occasions and holidays.

the ingredients

  • Half a kilogram of premium date paste from Tomoorcom
  • Half a cup of soft unsalted butter.
  • A cup of powdered fine sugar.
  • A quarter cup of vegetable oil.
  • Pinch of salt.
  • One tablespoon of vanilla.
  • One whole egg.
  • A quarter cup of rose water.
  • 4 and a half cups of flour to add gradually.
  • 2 tablespoons of baking powder.
  • One tablespoon of butter.
  • One tablespoon of cinnamon.
  • An appropriate amount of sesame.
  • One egg with half a spoonful of vanilla to stabilize sesame.

How to prepare

In a suitable bowl, put the butter, powdered sugar, vegetable oil, and salt in addition to vanilla, and mix these ingredients together for a few minutes.

Add the egg with the rose water, and then continue to whisk with the electric mixer.

Add flour with baking powder gradually and mix by hand until we get a soft consistent dough.

Leave the dough in a closed dish to rest.

To prepare the filling, mix the date paste with butter and cinnamon well until we get a homogeneous mixture.

The date dough is cut into long rectangular pieces with a small width.

The filling is placed in the center of each rectangle, and then the dough is rolled.

Cut each roll into small, equal pieces.

For sesame, beat one egg, put it in a plate, and the amount of sesame in another dish.


Spread each piece of date fingers with eggs, then place them in a sesame dish and turn them over until fully covered.

All pieces are placed in an oven tray after buttering them.

Bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
